What is Yoga?
What “kind of “ Yoga?
There is no “kind of” Yoga, this is all fashion. There is only “Yoga” since “Yoga” means literally “Union with the Divine”.
So, let us be straight and simple:

- There is nothing such as postures to “perform”: Yoga is not fitness or gymnastics otherwise the professionals of these disciplines would be “Yogis” and we would have heard about it.
- There is nothing such as lectures or books to “know”; how could any thing be enough to realise such a “Union”!
Yoga as a part of workshops
Yoga is the deepest state of relaxation that a human being can reach and still remain conscious. Unfortunately, the only similar state commonly observed, without any tensions in the body, is the Death, unconscious. This means that “Yoga” is actually a very rare state of being.
“The Sanctuary” proposes a regular discipline structured around postures and breathing. The purpose is to feel consciously the tensions in our body because only what is felt, can be realised.
Ultimately, Yoga is the result of a total surrendering and as such, it is not in our hands. One day for a few seconds or forever, consciously or not, we are taken over…
